Hello everyone in msland, personally never watched the show so can’t say if winner was justified, or if it was a con, but by the reading of a paper today it must be said the winner had balls to stand up in front of a worldwide audience, Brian
Aye, just shows you what a load of rubbish it is.

Big balls indeed!
Made me laugh when the Austrian judge was giving their points. She came on with a matching beard!! At least they have a good sense of humour.
Whatever did it cost to put such a charade on. Most of those countries do not want to win as they then have to host the next years.
Excuse me for butting in but Austria is the country that gave us Mozart???!!!
A new reverse trouser role for a Cherubino? Watch out for the next ‘Le Nozze de Figaro’. I’ll bet Cherubino has a beard and if not then she should.
I loved it that a drag queen won in a country like Ukraine!! Rellay p***ed off Putin!!
Didn’t even bother watching any of it as no Lordi
A worthy winner is one who cheers us all up, I think, and this one did.

[/quote] I have never seen The marriage of Figaro, I must see it now.
The voting is always political and I think this result was the rest of Europe sticking two fingers up at the anti gay stuff spouted by certain quarters. There were probably more worthy songs but that’s not how Eurovision works these days. If it p**d off the right people then it’s a good result .
Next year’s hosting by Austria should be hilarious and of course Conchita Wurst will get to perform again!

Hi Brian
I record all my telly and watch a bit each day (back problems and spasms) it also means I can fast forward all the boring bits. It was very political, Sweden would have been my choice, it’s been political for many years. The Eastern European countries are so much better than they were but all tend to vote for one another. I find it amusing and was one in the eye for homophobes.
One ray of hope, does it mean that Ireland are our best buddies now that they voted for us, I do hope so.
