Hi all,

Just a quick question. Could having an ear infection cause your MS symptoms to worsen ?

I’m walking around like I’m drunk and my arms and legs feel weaker than usual.

Hi June, I think any kind of infection can affect MS symptoms. Just a thought, an ear infection, the middle ear in particular, can affect balance, dizziness etc. Have you seen your GP? Possibly some anti biotics will help you.

Yes , I was thinking that maybe the infection was causing the loss of balance. I’m seeing my GP on Monday, I just hope it’s not my MS , or if it is , I hope it’s temporary.

I wonder why infections can cause MS symptoms to flair up ?
