I have had a quick look at the form. I haven’t started any meds yet. It will take six week to get sorted. So I don’t know what the strengths are or the effects it will have on me. I am going to phone the MS nurse tomorrow
People say that you dont inform them until you have a dx. Basically I am in limbo land. There is a small lesion on my spinal cord but all specific test for MS have come back clear. So no dx. I have spasticity in my calf muscle. I drive and automatic and can manage fine. I use left foot (good foot) for break and right for accelerator. One neuro thinks my lesion could have been caused by radiation treatment I had for cancer in 1990. Other neuros disagree as I had clear MRI scans in 1991 and 2005. I have a slight limp and was turned down for blue badge so I reckon I dont have to do anything yet.

Luckily, when I was referred to a prescribing hospital for DMDs the neuro there told me that I must inform DVLA about my dx. I have a 3 yr licence. If you read up on directgov website there is a £1,000 fine if you do not notify them and you have one of the listed conditions.
You must also inform your insurance company as it is a ‘material fact’ which could affect your ability to drive. As long as DVLA are happy for you to continue driving they will be happy. My insurers told me they weren’t interested in what condition I have as long as I have a licence. They also cannot increase your premiums as that would be discrimination.
