I’ve been waiting to find out if I’d get my driving license renewed. Hoping for a big fat envelope from the DVLA to land on my doormat.
I got a letter today saying it’s been refusesed because my ‘current medication is causing side effects that are likely to impair safe driving.’
I don’t know what medication they are talking about, but I take an antiepileptic to control my epileptic seizures. an antidepressent for my depression and another one (amytiptiline) to help with nerve pain and to help me sleep. I also take medication for my diabetes which I know I have to be careful with as some can cause hypos.
Can anyone offer any advice or help with knowing what to do next? Do I really have to go to the Magistrates’ court to appeal?
I’m seeing my GP tomorrow - by taxi! I’ll ask her about my driving. It’s going to make a whole lot more depressing not being able to get out and about, even though I don’t do much these days. Wobblyness means I don’t know if I’m going to be housebound unless I get taxis everywhere
