Driven absolutely insane.

Hello all, I am new here. I do not have a diagnosis of MS. In fact, I have a diagnosis of NOTHING AT ALL… yet.

My symptoms are that my right foot has been tingling for 2 months. I get it in my left foot, but it is much worse in my right foot. Physiotherapy, massages, etc. have not helped, at all.

For instance, if I keep my foot entirely still, it doesn’t tingle as bad, but once I move the foot, it just RESONATES through my foot. the tingly, electric sensations. Not painful, but very tingly - thousands of tingles. Sometimes my buttocks tingle and the back of my thigh

My doctors say I have a back problem but I don’t think so. The tingling stop when I walk. If I keep active and walk, no tingles. When I stop, BAM! tingles!

I don’t think it’s Lyme.

What do I do? Do I demand an MRI? Do I wait for months to get an MRI? Do I assume it’s a back problem??
Its been 2 months of this nightmare, I want this to end!!

thanks!!

Hi

First of all welcome. Because everyone experiences different symtoms with MS it is very hard to get a DX. What you are experiencing could be numerous things but I think an MRI would be a good thing, they are not as scarry as people think. I would say push for that first and hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for an appointment. I live in central Scotland and only waited 2 weeks.

Good luck and let us know how you get on xxx

Well it is not a mechanical issue with my foot, for sure. It is also not a nutritional thing becuse I had my blood tested.

I am so stressed and annoyed :frowning:

I remember the limbo land and it is very annoying and you will get stressed but try not to. If you have MS or not stress is a bad thing so try calm down and take it one day at a time. You will get an answer eventually but these things take time unfortunately. It is very fustrating when you are explaining to experts your symptoms and not getting answers but you will in time. Try to get the MRI and if that gives you no answers look for maybe a CT scan maybe that might give you answers. Hang in there xxx

It doesn’t sound like a typical MS symptom to me. MS tends to be one sided and as both your feet are affected I would probably agree that it is a back problem so it should be that being MRI’d.

i had both legs tingling and numb which got me diagnosed. i had thought it was a trapped nerve, but they said that would only have been on one side. i had a lesion on my spinal cord at exactly the point the symptoms would suggest. I know many ms symptoms are one side but mine wasn’t at all.
