Don't know where to get help from :-(

My legs have been painful and useless for about two weeks people down the road are taking my daughter to school and picking her up when Gareth’s at work but I can’t get out of the house so my son hasn’t been to nursery for most of the last two weeks and I don’t know who to speak to about help. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated please

When i was diagnosed the doctor reported it to social services as i had a 3 year old at the time shes now 4 social services came round and offered help taking her to and from nursery maybe give them a call x

Cat mummy has given you good advice, another thing that you could do isto contact the nursery and explain the situation. They might be able to help but at the very least they would know what was happening. Cheryl:-)

Hi, isnt there someone who takes heir child to nursery, who passes your house or maybe lives fairly near?

Thing is with nursery places, they are precious and few, so let them know about your present difficulties and they may even collect and return your little one, until you are up and about again.

I hope you soon feel better hun.

Try Home Start. they are a charity and specialise in helping out families and regularly help out organising children to and from school, shopping etc. If they do not have anyone in your area they may still be able to put you in touch with someone who can help.

Social services are great at supporting and will help in referring to places like home start … And please don’t worry social slices involvement does not mean anything bad is going to happen I.e kids being taken off you etc as I know this is a fear! And I know this because I am the person who works within social services and gets such referrals for help and assessment hun. I have worked with many young mums in getting the support at home for them and for their child. One mum springs to mind, 26 with a six month old. Unable to do much physically due to transverse myletis. We put care in for her and for her daughter. We also as she go up put her I’m contact with charities such as home start and sure start. We asked childrens social services to help out but they gave it back to us as they only come into play when a child is at risk. So please don’t frett and get the help hun xxx
