does this sound like ms?

Hi everyone Please help. I know you guys can not give me a diagnosis but just your opinions. I have had many strange neurological symptoms for a year and a half. I’m 32 mother of 3. My symptoms started out of the blue, at first lots of random burning, tingling, cold water reeling, falling asleep feeling contantly in right leg and also a weak feeling in the right leg. Then lots of twitching all over the body and fatigue. The symtoms fluctuate but always there. I then fell pregnant and felt a bit better towards the end of the pregnancy. 3 weeks after the birth the symptoms became a lot worse and with new symptoms of burning knees like acid under skin, tooth ache feeling in arms and legs mostly right leg and on and off muffled hearing in left ear and a strange feeling in left eye, oh and once had a numb tip of nose for one day. The worst is that my right lower leg and foot feel weak and tender calf. I have had mri of brain and spine-all noramal, neuro exams all normal.emg normal. Blood test for b12-836, vid d, glucose, minerals, lupus, RA, and lymes all normal. The only thing is very high thyroid antibodies but tsh at the moment is 1.4 so all normal. Does this sound like ms? I don’t know what else it could be I have this black cloud hanging over me every day. Xx

Also anyone here from ricmond/kinston area?

Hello hun. Well as you`ve had all the usual tests for MS and they have come back normal, it doesnt really look like it.

But sometimes MS can elude all the tests and still exist. Neuros need to follow quite a strict system for diagnosing it.

Have you got a follow up appointment?

I went un-diagnosed for some years, but was still seen every 6months for monitoring. My symptoms were classic PPMS.

Then I was wrongly diagnosed with it for 8 years.

After testing for everything possible, I am left with half a diagnosis of spastic paraparesis and th cause is unknown.

It is all so frustrating and I feel for you, with 3 children to look after. Mine were grown up when my problems began, but it did spoil my joy of being a grandma…and still does.
