Do you want to get out on your bike but suffer with balance problems and fatigue?

My husband can no longer ride his two wheel bike due to MS getting worse and he loses his balance. He can’t walk very far but loves to be out in the fresh air. We tend to drive out for days in the countryside, but we would love to be able to cycle together. We are looking into a design for a three wheel bike that looks on trend, cool and has battery assistance for when he begins to tire. We would like to know if other people with MS would think there is a market for this type of bike. We think it is about time people with MS who have balance problems had a choice of bike that was cool in design, so you could feel proud to ride it.

yes there is a company doing this. the wife has ms and loves cycling.

they had a stand on ms life in manchester.

i dont know if i’ve still got all the handouts but i’ll have a good look.

That would be great if you could find any handouts and it would be good to get in touch with them to see it. Thanks for your help.

I always had a fancy for this one, because it is foldable, but there are a few other electric trikes available.

Thanks for the link to have a look at the bike you mentioned. Do you like the way it folds and is this most important? What about the design, what changes would you want to see made to the common looking trike?

The folding mechanism does look remarkably simple and can see the attraction of popping it in the boot, but at 6’3” I suspect the frame is far too small. Being an old bloke, I am not too bothered about how the bike looks and more concerned with the practical stuff, and being built of aluminium for lightness seems like a good start.
