Hi, recently diagnosed with RRMS (July) and currently experiencing dizziness/vertigo. Thankfully I’m only currently experiencing this during the night (touch wood lol). I had a bout of what I thought was labyrinthitis in 2018 and my neourologist believes this may have been a relapse as this was a first for me having never experienced it before but the dizziness was worse then as currently I only seem to be dizzy when turning in bed. GP prescribed Stematil so hopefully this will help. Any other advice would be most welcome. Not yet started on meds for my MS but hoping to start within the next 3-4 weeks.
If your dizziness is just when you lie down then its could be the crystals in your inner ear that are ot of line and this can be made better by a specific move called the Epley manouvre which a neuro physio whos trained to do it can do or some drs can do for you.I once had it done and it made the dizziness go off at that time.
I had that few months ago, and I totally understand the dizzy head turning in bed , the feeling was awful, I use to keep my eyes closed in the hope the feeling would go away. It lasted about a week, then went gradually. Starting on your meds will probably help. All the best. Jane x
dizzyness was one of my first and really terrible symptoms… What helped me a lot was 4-aminopyridine. It’s the “original” name of fampidrine, it just helps the brain work better, not just with walking. I got it from a neuro in Germany though.
