Dizziness prescription.

Hey guys, Neuro and GP prescribed me: betahistine for dizziness. Has anyone tried these before? Is so, how did you find them.

I’m on betahistine and it helped immensely with the dizziness - I only take 1 a day now instead of the 3 a day I was originally prescribed. It took a couple of days to kick in but it seemed to make a big difference

Hi i take Betahistine 3 times a day and i have found that it only takes the edge off of it, it does not cure it completely as mentioned by my GP.

I do Cooksey Cawthorne exercises daily and i find that helps more so for me.

Betahistine may work for you as we are all different.

Sharon.

Been on these since Thursday - Still getting dizzy and now i’m quite nauseous since taking them.

Dont think these are for me!

I take stemitil when I need to and although I find they work really well, with no side effects for me, my neuro told me to stop taking them as long term use can actually prevent re myelination of the damage…or something like that!!! So I am a bit stuck as the vertigo and subsequent balance problems are really badly affecting me at the moment and I really want to get back to driving which will enable me to get back to work. Any advice appreciated please? Catherine
