Hi,
I have rrms.
I keep getting this dizzenes, it usually happens when i get up and move.
My ears sometimes feel like they are blocked.
Been doctors etc, cant get to what it is.
It also happens when i turn over in bed, get up and move.
My ms mainly affects my legs, going numb fron waist down.
I have a frozen shoulder also at the moment, that i have had for a while.
Does ms cause dizzeness?
As i was told ms dizzenes was constant.
I get it on movement etc.
Thanks for any replies
It seems this is fairly common symptom of MS. Probably worth having a chat with your nurse.

I have been getting dizzyness too. It isn’t persistent, comes and goes, can go weeks without it.
Seen GP who gave me various different medications for vertigo but despite taking them still had dizzy spells, like you worse when lying down, sudden movements and turning in bed.
Have never got to the bottom of what could be causing it.
Hope it passes quickly for you x
Most dizziness comes and goes. I find tiredness effects it, surprise surprise!
Things that have definitely helped me include:
Staying hydrated.
Watching caffeine and chocolate in take.
Yoga pressure points - lots on line.
The sea sickness pressure wrist bands.
Getting up slowly, and sometimes even elegantly!
Apparently ginger can help too?

Are you able to arrange a visit with a neuro physio? I have one (paid for by the MS Society
) and my vertigo was fixed in weeks after a ghastly six months.
Medication didn’t do too much, but the simple daily exercises worked absolute wonders.
Hi Alesha,
Can I ask how you got this funded by the MS society, did you apply for a grant ?

Hi there I am suffering exactly the same right now with the dizziness when I turn over in bed and when I turn my head quickly, the doctor said it’s called something like BPBD? He gave me some tablets but I’m still feeling the sickness. I spoke to my MS nurse who assures me it’s nothing to do with my MS. However, reading on the Internet everywhere it says dizziness is to do with MS I’m so confused I slept for 14 hours straight through and I’m so shattered so tired and lethargic
