Hi everyone
I keep trying to get my head round the new forum changes, but jeez it’s hard…or is it just me being useless with technology?
Hope you are all keeping ok.

It’s hard Pam. I’m managing to just about keep up with new posts, but I know there are many that I just don’t see because of the format.
There are many people missing, either because they can’t get to grips with the new format or simply can’t get in at all.
It’s pretty horrible, and I suspect the newer members might have a harder time. Not for the same reasons we are having trouble, but because there aren’t many of us reading their posts and able to respond.
I can imagine new people just giving up in disgust. They share their problems, their diagnosis or non-diagnosis and we’re just incapable of answering them all.
And I miss my friends.
Sue
Hi Pam, not many of us seem to like the new site. I look in on Everyday living and Primary progressive but that’s all. If it’s supposed to be user friendly I for one don’t find it very friendly.
I had awful problems getting logged on initially it took a couple of weeks and I know of a couple of others who still aren’t back on.
Take care all

Couldn’t agree more. It’s actually very upsetting. Nobody told me that you had to be an IT genius as a pre requisite to using a bloody help forum!
With so many of the regulars AWOL, I feel I’ve lost the only place where I could pose questions that (hopefully) make some kind of sense to us, that would (in my experience anyway) make no sense at all to any professionals that I have managed to come across yet.
I also try never to speak to friends/relatives about my problems, everyone has their own problems to deal with don’t they?
My only outlet MS wise has now been removed and I’m fearful that it might be gone forever.
I will keep the faith a little while longer and fingers crossed everyone out there is doing ok?

Hi
I am glad it’s not just me, but sorry you are all finding the same as me.
I miss the place that was my ‘go to’ for advice, a smile, a pick me up and everything else, the people who always understood, where medics don’t.
I will keep trying for a while, and truly hope that the names that are missing find their way back to our family.

Hi Pam
I’ve not been on for a while saw your post AND managed to reply! Am I getting better on this site?
Take care, be safe, we are all still here. M x
Hi,
I’m getting used to it a little more.
I still don’t like the way all the different forums show up. But getting used to it.
Best tip is to click on the 4 horizontal lines top right.
That shows new postings and in which forums.
If at first you don’t succeed then try try try again.
Jen
That’s what I do Jen but it annoys me that the sequence of the categories keep changing!!
Think I’m simply getting old
Jan x
One good thing is that I got an email when Janhhh replied to my comment.
That disappeared when the last update happened.
Makes me sound old, can’t remember when I first joined the forums.
Jen
I feel just the same i hate it and think a lot of us do.I hope they can do something about it but they dont seem to care.I think it would have been a good idea to at least ask us our opinions and whats important to us.This forums important to a lot that use it and this is such a big change and not for the better! such a shame.x
I hated the last change of format. I was used to the old (one before last), felt alienated by the change, didn’t recognise anyone… Went awol for quite a long time (a couple of years), then reconnected.
I’m determined not to do that again. I felt like it at first! But am slowly getting used to it. Still don’t like it, I think it’s disconnected, threads don’t follow properly, I can’t imagine what new people feel like! We must seem a bit unfriendly.
Sue
We must seem confused more than anything cos thats what we are.I have awful cog fog and trying to work this new way is making me worse i have to have a small go then try again and we should not have to do that its an MS forum for gods sake!!
Thanks for replying everyone I think it has to be a case of trying little and often till we get there.
Thanks Jen for mentioning the horizontal lines, I am going to remember that.
