Three years into my journey of seeing all the “ologists” and my third GP. Finally on schedule to see neurology. The exhaustion is getting very “heavy” and its been hard to be motivated to go to work. Im not used to feeling so down. Is it depression? sure feels like it. Do I ask to be medicated prior to my neurologist visit?
Short answer - maybe.
There are medications/therapies that the GP can prescribe that could help; what symptoms do you have apart from the depression? (which is totally understandable). Your GP may be able to help with some of those too.
Hi TheresaB I have balance and walking problems, a drop foot, a painful spot on my spine that causes my fingers to tingle and go numb, I have zero energy, absolutely none. I wake up exhausted every morning and sometimes fall asleep drinking my coffee, my restless legs seem to be getting worse, recently Im having headaches, ice picks on occasion, lack motivation and no interest to go to social events. Everything seems like it’s a lot of work. My t3&t4 levels have been low for two years, untreated. I’m not sure where to get energy from. Not sure if I’m just getting impatient or depressed. I see my gp next week. I’m going to ask about the depression. Thank you for the response. Have a great day!
