Defined by my music not MS

Hello all, hope this New Year finds you well and coping. For me music is a huge help to me. It is one of the few times i can forget about the condition. I just wanted to share with you a cover of a Coldplay Song i arranged called Yellow. I knocked up a video to accompany the song. The vocals are by a dear friend from Maryland US who i have been working with for just over a year and who, by a complete coincidence, has been told by her doctor that she may well have MS. What are the odds…

Anyway I hope you enjoy my version of this song.

Best wishes Trev

hi wibbly

love the arrangement and the video.

amazing how we are all individuals with our own thing going.

we just have ms in common.

pretty cool really.

so my band of warriors are the coolest!

i’m a music lover but sadly not a music maker.

Excellent

Hi Julian, I replied to your lovely comment on YouTube. I have been writing music since about 2007 but since diagnosed with MS in 2014 my music has become such an important part of my life. As my physical self has deteriorated I find solace in being able to create music. I would like to post some other songs/pieces of music I have composed post and pre MS if people enjoy this first foray into sharing my music. I am guitarist in the main and have been finding it harder to play this past year as my hands are numb and not as strong as they where. I persevere all the same, all it means is I do a few more takes than I used to before I get it right

You asked if you could help next time? In what way? Are you a musician too?

Regards Trev

I never have but like them. I wanted to make my arrangement different to theirs because I didn’t want to do what would be a pale imitation. I decided to go big and score it for full orchestra. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for taking a look.

Trev

Thanks for taking the time to take a look. I enjoy sharing my music so am pleased you enjoyed it.

part time pub/club deal,wot a good time!!

Julien smiley,

Hello Trev.

A fantastic arrangement. I read it as you being defined by your music as opposed to MS.

I’ve been madly into music since I was a child, playing cello in youth orchestra, getting my diploma on the piano as well as my music degree. As my playing deteriorated, I went into school teaching and started to write songs and musicals. It was a great outlet. It was slightly before the digital age and all the social platforms we now have. So none of it was recorded or even written down. But I’ve got great memories.

I think anyone could be encouraged to tell us anything they do which can put MS into the background.

Thanks for posting.

Steve
