is there anyone who lives in the northwest area that goes to a day centre?? im 43 use a wheelchair full time try to filll my days as best i can but left with nothing to do a lot of time, and thats not goood on so many levels as im sure you all know… so was thinking i could do with doing something liike day centre, my social worker dosnt know of any but i refuse to believe that i am the only person that needs a resouce like this, theres plenty for the 65+ but dont know of any thing else, can anyone help?
Hi, I reckon your social worker is a good as the one I last saw.
That was about 3 weeks ago. I had found out about a good day centre and asked about respite funding to go. It cost a whopping £80 a day!!! Social worker said it was too dear and to find another. She said she would send me details of some…nowt came…zilch!
So I decided to try the place out anyway. There costs were worse than advertised and i realized it was out of my reach.money wise.
Anyway, none of this answers your question, eh?
Try googling daycare in your area. Yeh, they often are for older people but still worth a google, eh?
