I get the creeping sensation too. And I would like to thank you all for being here and keeping me (relatively) sane on this scary journey.
Thanks for that Kizzydane. At least to know I’m safe to be around other people now!!!
So, is this a common MS thing then??
And now I have the little beggars constantly crawling in my left ear!!! :-s
not dx, but yes, feels like small bugs/hairs crawling on skin and some times i feel as if a scarab bettle is under my skin and crawling up my leg, people must think i have a screw loose, by the way i keep slapping myself…
Yep! Was one of my earliest symptoms and felt like a 5 year old when I described it too my doctor as “beasties crawling about in my belly.” Can’t think of a more accurate description though and it really is most unpleasant! xx
Yes. I get it a lot.
Mine feels like I have walked into a spiders web and I try and brush it away and there is nothing there.
How are you feeling now?
Shazzie x
Like walking into a cob web, yep i get it too!!!
My mother in law used to get it too, and she had neuropathy, it’s comon in diabetics. It is definatly something to do with nerves, cause when i saw my neuro I mentioned i have numbness in the right side of my face and he asked me “does it feel like cob webs or something crawling on you?”
It used to years ago now its constant mild pins and needles is how i describe it. I do still get the crawlies on my back and legs, this symptom doesn’t really worry me cause, well it doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t stop me looking after my kids or doing anything, it’s just really annoying lol.

Reading all of your comments is very reassuring, as I think I experience most of them at some point or another, so I just want to say a big thank you to you all! x
Yes get the spider web thing too. Mothers will understand this one better, but has anyone ever had this…(when you are pregnant and the baby is moving and kicking). last week for the whole day it felt like this in my back, where your bra clip is, too the left, about the size of my fist??
Yes I have often got the baby kicking sensation too Axx
Linda, I know exactly what you mean. I’m assuming its the deep muscles twitching (fasciculation?). Funnily enough, I get an odd recurring sensation exactly where you describe. Sometimes its like a buzzing, sometimes that deep ‘kick’ or even a sharp stabbing pain. Surely these sensations can be traced to their root cause…or root nerve ending? Did you ever notice as I did in childhood, how scratching one part of your body can cause a sensation at another point on your skin? I’ve always assumed this was to do with the two points being on the same nerve pathway (well, ever since I saw a picture of inside our bodies and learned what nerves were!)
Me too Linda. Get it all the time. have done since diagnosis 8 years ago. Just one of the wonderful symptoms eh?
Shazzie xx
Arwen, glad its not just me then…
Reikiblossom. Mines only been the baby lol in that spot, but ive had the buzing in my whole body and the stabbing is usually in my left side of head or left arm. Im pretty new at all this, dont even have a dx yet, yes i have noticed that about the nerves, but to be honest have not looked up on it.
