Covid-19: First UK vaccine safety data are “reassuring,” says regulator | The BMJ
Here is the truth.
The fear that a vaccine will somehow change your DNA is one we’ve seen aired regularly on social media.
The BBC asked three independent scientists about this. They said that the coronavirus vaccine would not alter human DNA.
Vaccine rumours debunked: Microchips, ‘altered DNA’ and more - BBC News
I’m one of those who doesn’t intend to get it, at least not yet. I don’t think they’ve done enough research on it, and at least over here, you can’t choose which manufacturer to get. That’s all a moot point right now, because our state seems to be having great difficulty in getting any of the vaccines in the first place. My aunt and uncle want it, and we’ve been calling all over the place trying to find someone that has it. The news keeps announcing various stores and pharmacies that supposedly got shipments, but when you contact those places they say that they know nothing about it.
If I’m still alive a year from now, I may change my mind, but I want to see any long-term effects of these drugs and if they really make a difference.
Hello and thanks for your reply.
I do not have or ever had any social media accounts, except for this MS Society one so I have not got any info / misinformation from them.
I also do not listen to a radio and do not watch TV or any mainstream media so no misinformation from them either.
If you go to the MADERNA website you will see that they call their M-RNA vaccines, Software of Life.
Its a biotechnology device system used for gene therapy.
A couple of other myths bite the dust.
The World Health Organization recommends using the vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca even in countries tackling new variants of coronavirus.
Some new forms of the virus appear to make vaccines less effective.
The WHO also says the vaccine can be used in people aged over 65, which some countries have advised against.
Spacing out the two doses, as is happening in the UK, makes the vaccine more effective, it advises.
Covid: WHO backs Oxford vaccine ‘even if variants present’ - BBC News
do you have the flu vac? No one knew what would happen when they brought that in but people had it to protect themselves.
we are all guinea pigs. I am proud to be a guinea pig rather then sit in my home never going out because of the virus pandemic. 3 weeks on i have not grown a tail, i am not hanging up side down in my bedroom, i dont feel batty.
all my family have had the vaccines one or the other.
I think my DNA is safe and i am glad i am not in DeNiAL LOL. without vaccinations we wouldnt be here right now.
Most people where I live don’t get the flu vaccines, and my family doctor has always recommended against it. The only person I know who got it every year also died of Covid 3 weeks ago.
Maybe it’s because I live in a rural area and don’t have a lot of contact with people, but I’m content to keep going on as I’ve been doing. My life is no different now than it was before Covid, other than wearing a mask on the rare occasions I go to a store and using hand sanitizer frequently when I shop. I have concerns about the virus but more about the vaccines that are currently available.
Like I said, it really doesn’t matter one way or the other right now, because the vaccine simply isn’t available here.
Getting my vac tomorrow…hubby had his yesterday…no after effects up to now.

I had mine yesterday. So far no reactions.
This might be of interest to the undecided.
We will be hosting a Barts-MS Question & Answer session on COVID-19 vaccines and our vaccination policy from 16h30-17h30, Tuesday 23rd February. Vaccine Hesitancy Survey – Multiple Sclerosis Research Blog (multiple-sclerosis-research.org)
Morning all, so today me and my hubby go for our vaccine, got a text yesterday, we’re so excited, I’m allergic to penicillin and did ask my GP if I’d be ok, she said yes, so away we go.

I have many serious allergies plus my lungs and immune system are very weak. When the time comes I will be talking with my GP , who will help me decide whether to take it. Personally, I do not want it until I know they have made another vaccine for allergy sufferers. I’ve seen the ingredients of the current ones, and there are substances I am heavily allergic to. Maybe you can check these out yourself for peace of mind.
Nevertheless, I look forward to having the vaccine eventually. If I am strong enough to take it , then I will.
What do others think about the testing of the Oxford jab on 300 children from age 6 till age 16?
This does not sit well with me, who’s children are they and who would put their children forward for this.?
These children cannot give their consent to this jab they are to young.
I’m ok with us adults taking the jab, we understand what it involves taking a new drug and the risk that if anything goes wrong we are on our own ( no compensation) as it was our decision.
Children are not at risk from covid, less than 400 under the age of 60 have died from covid since Febuary 2020 without any pre existing conditions.
They have not tested this jab on animals because there was no time before roll out but they now want to test it on children
Had my jab (Oxford astra Z) Friday. Was disappointed it was the Oxford instead of the pfizer and would wish in here that people said which manufacturer their jab was. Saying you’ve had the jab and had no effects is almost worthless as information as the jabs are completely different. Sorry to complain like this. Had heard that some men had viagra like side effects lasting for up to 14 hours. My wife was relieved to find that wasnt the case. Only side effects are a sore, slightly swollen arm and a mild headache. Re experimentimg on children, it doesn’t sit well with me… And I’m not even a parent. But big up parents who put their children forward because it could be important.
