I got my mum who got ms she just got covid how do people feel after covid with the ms aswell any advice welcome
Was fairly mild for me, sore throat with a little mucus, maybe a little more tired than normal too. Actual had to lie to get tested and only did that because someone in my house worked with someone else that tested positive. Didn’t cause any MS symptoms to flare up for me and didn’t trigger a relapse either so fairly lucky. Was tired for 3-4 months after and just put that down to MS. That eased and on my second relapse since it eased and still have more energy now than I did during Covid and the months after so I’m sure the increased tiredness was due to Covid.
Others in my household also had Covid at the same time. 1 of them seemed to have less energy for a month or so and the other seemed fine throughout and after.
Hard to say how your mother may be affected. She’s prob used to some degree of tiredness due to MS anyway so hopefully it’s no worse than that. To me it was just like having a bad day and being more tired than on good days. Ok it was semi bad days, every day for some months but least we’re some what used to them and already have coping strategies.
Hope Covid is mild for her and everyone else is as safe as possible
Hi,
I had covid last year in November. It was awful. My symptoms weren’t great. I remember the first thing I noticed was the fever and I also noticed a flare up in old symptoms e.g. dizziness, not having balance, also my double vision came back.
I slept that night woke up and felt better HOWEVER…
All symptoms including my double vision had recovered 100% following a relapse in previous years. Though I noticed my double vision never recovered 100% after having covid.
I’m not sure whether is was my ms fatigue or covid. I did feel very tired and fatigued for up to 4 weeks. Took about 5 weeks for me to feel back to ‘normal’.
