Coping

Hi, seem to be having a hard time at the moment. Hate going to bed, just thinking of waking the next morning and it all starts again, every day. Would have thought after all this time, nearly 17 years, coping with this would be better.

Thinking of facing another 20+ years of this makes me feel so low.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Coping

Smile and be happy please.

Hi anon,

know just how you feel,i get like this too,who wouldnt ? its not easy having ms all this time,i have had it 22 years now,and there are times, i say i cant do this anymore, especially when i am having a rough time of it,i found that when i feel really bad, writing it all down, i put the things i still CAN do,and i am surprised at just how much i can still do, its simple things like, getting up to go to the bathroom, getting a shower, making a cofee, making a snack,it does make you feel not as bad too,try it, it may help you,i think it got me going again, after i was stuck in bed for 8 months, i thought i would never get up again, but i did.

I am sorry that you are feeling so low.

MS can’t be fixed, but there are other things that can go wrong with a person that are more amenable to treatment, persistent low mood being one of them. Having had it up to here with MS is one thing: depression is quite another. If you can see no prospect of life getting nicer, or tomorrow being potentially enjoyable, and you have been feeling like this for a little while, then I really think you need to talk to your GP if you haven’t already. The stupider you think this suggestion is, the more strongly I would urge you to consider it!

I hope that things look a bit brighter for you soon. Low mood is just horrible, and a lovely spring day can make it feel even worse, somehow. I really feel for you.
