New Diagnosis Awaiting a treatment plan
About 2 months ago I started getting a slight numbness in my left arm 4 weeks later it progressed to involuntary shaking
Went to doctors and had nerve conduction tests and was diagnosed with a trapped nerve. Then a couple of weeks ago I lost all strength and mobility in my left arm whilst out riding
This got steadily worse over the weekend so I went to A&E. docs gave me a CT scan, found multiple lesions in the right hand side of my brain
Went for an MRI where they found spinal lesion
By now I have lower body pins and needles and lost most of my mobility in my left leg also
Spent 9 days in hospital getting tests and further scans. Had a lumbar puncture
Neurologist has diagnosed MS pretty much but waiting for a final test on the CSF which takes 2-3 weeks. Back at home. Struggling and very worried that it may get worse until I get medication
I’ve not read anywhere about the total loss of left arm movement anywhere as a symptom of MS. Hopeing it wil come back with the correct meds and physio?
Anyone else similar? Weirdly my arm moves/shudders involuntarily when I yawn
Tone
Hi Tone. My left arm has been problematic for around 18 months. Painful spasms in upper arm. Baclofen and botox didnt help at all.
It has eased a bit and I can use it more…but my lefthand keeps fisting and is really weak.
I’ve had PPMS for 25 years

Hi thanks for replying
What sort of physio did you do with the strength band? The yawning is quite funny, such an odd feeling not being able to move on my own
Good luck to you also
