Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.)

That is not the first time I’ve read the scientific evidence for CBT as a useful form of treatment for us living with MS. Is there an online place where I can access the material? Or do I need to request referral via my GP or Neuro team?

Hi Jackie I am going for 3 weeks rehab for physio & cognitive therapy so ask me in 6 weeks once it is over.

Hi Jackie

The "For Dummies!" series of books do a Guide to CBT and a CBT Workbook.  It could be worth your while asking your library if thay can source you copies (start with the guide).  My County Library lists 10 books on CBT, most of them available for loan.  The Dewey Classification is 155.9042 if you just want to search the shelves locally.

I believe totally in the effectiveness of CBT, but I do advise people to steer clear of NLP (Neuro Lingistic Programming).
