Clear MRI but lots of symptoms.

Hi there just wanted to see if anyone has been in my position as I’m in limbo so to speak. I had a slipped disc injury 2 years ago but it is mostly ok now just a bit of pain sometimes. For the last few months I’ve had shivers down the right side of my head occasionally. A month ago they increased in frequency and I felt a numbness in the right of my face. I was taken for CT to check for stroke and it was clear. Since then I’ve had more symptoms. These include:

Numbness in all limbs
Spasms all over body most of the time.
Less hand/ eye coordination - go to pick something up and misjudge grip sometimes too.
Feel dizzy/half drunk all the time
Balance not great.
Slurred speech at times. Forget words or say the wrong one.
Poor train of thought- simple tasks like making tea, I forget what I’m doing eg getting milk out.
Eyesight doesn’t feel right. Can see ok but problem syncing or something.
Can be at toilet every hour sometimes.
Back pain can come and go at random.
Pressure at front of head usually followed by numbness eg my left side of face is now like my right. Harder to smile now.

I have a neurologist appointment coming up but don’t know when and I drive for my job so obviously can’t work and don’t know if I ever will be able to.

Obviously it’s probably not ms but just wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms.

Kenny

Hi Kenny and no not me. Not sure it sounds like MS but I’m no medic. Have you kept your GP up to date on your symptoms and what was his/ her opinion?

Hi there thanks for responding.
First GP said it sounded like MS from my symptoms. That was before the MRI. Second GP found the clear result on the system at the appointment on Wednesday. I got that appointment after the numbness came on my left side of face as I was obviously alarmed. He booked an urgent referral for the neurologist when I told him all these symptoms. I should add that when I went to the hospital at the start and saw the neurologist initially, the only symptoms I had was the shivers down my right face/head and numbness on same side. I’ve not seen the neurologist since then.

Hi Kenny

you’re right to try to eliminate possible causes, such as MS. This may enable you to find cause.

What did your brain and spine MRI show?

Best wishes

Hi there, well brain was ok but I have compression in both left and right nerve channels in my neck for some reason which could be causing all the arm and leg problems. Not sure how that could effect my mind eg brain fog and getting tasks and words mixed up plus the drunk feeling. I have noticed increased muscle tone in my left thigh now and the leg is feeling irritated. My slipped disc two years ago was on my right side.
