Good isn’t it? Glad you slept better. I have a new instrument, very ingenious & no tobacco required, must admit I slept very well. I wont tonight cos I have pavlova, raspberries (fresh 1s to boot), marzipan & frangipan floating round my head, I would kill for them at this moment, I can almost taste em, this ice cream isn’t doing it for me now, not at all.
We have raspberry ripple ice cream and raspberries and loganberries in the freezer from last year.
I think we need a foodie thread Shall I start one?
Now, I’ll be honest, I’m 1 extreme to another with food. Love tarty lemons, raspberries anything with a twang, but as sweet as it gets, marzipan, oh & anything almond. But, if a cake or a pork pie was on offer, the pie wins & I have dinner with my salt, love salt.
Love salt too. Have you had salted caramel Haagen Daz ice cream? It’s honestly the biz.
I’d have to have a real conundrum savoury v sweet too. But depends what the sweet and what the salt is. Hmmm. Anyway, can’t discuss now. Have eaten chicken with goats cheese wrapped in parma ham with balsamic (plus obligatory veg) and chocolate pot (half of due to size and saving for tomorrow). So have had my dose of both.

Hi Cassie
Probably not, we’ve got away with this one for quite some time and I think too many non MS threads run the risk of irritating some people. Having this thread gives us the ability to run riot with our unruly brains, exercise a bit of creativity from time to time and also address our very real cognitive problems too.
Sue
I have & indulged Sue. I’m a bacon, on brioche bun with maple syrup girl, your tea sounds lovely, another thing that will be racing round my head tonight, Ginge is going to have a list & a half tomorrow, he better take the van. xx
cassie
there’s no black magic here.
the witch reference is because i was born on hallowe’en and i have a third nipple!
(honestly, one of the doctors in the maternity ward told me)
i have fun tormenting my husband with “ooh my 3rd nipple’s itching” if he has been annoying me.
pendle hill is not too far away but i’m not one of the pendle witches.
a very sad story that, poor women were accused and suffered a nasty death.
so hope that cleared it up for you.
poll - ice cream wouldn’t go with lemon drizzle cake.
but there’ll be lots of choice in your kingdom!
I’m not sure what’s non ms about this thread. Makes perfect sense to me. Do we irritate others? Never my intention…mmmm ice cream, cake, love marzipan, Christmas cake, most things really. Belly getting huge but brain needs food
Regarding marzipan, the stuff you get in the shops and on cakes is the work of the devil. It’s a horrible colour and sickly sweet. The kind that you get covered in dark chocolate is much nicer. There’s no added colouring and it’s not as sweet. My maternal grandfather lived in North Germany, not far from Lübeck where there’s a company that makes lovely chocolate-covered marzipan. He used to send us some every Christmas. You can also use white marzipan to make marzipan potatoes. Take a piece the size of a large marble, roll it into a rough ball shape then roll it in cocoa.
As for ice cream, save some of the raspberry ice cream for me. I’ll accept vanilla ice cream with a large helping of raspberries. I don’t like strawberries, or pretty much anything with strawberries in or strawberry flavoured (I have had some strawberry yoghurts that have been OK). They’re far too sweet for my taste. Raspberries are much nicer.
The only ice cream I would have with lemon drizzle cake is vanilla. Anything else and the flavours would clash. But then, vanilla ice cream can be eaten with almost any kind of cake or pudding.
Can we please stop talking about cake, ice cream and other high calorie foods? I’m trying to lose weight and this isn’t helping!
trifle butties! that`s weirder than my sausage and marmalade sarnies!
pollsx
of course ice cream would go with lemon drizzle cake!
I mean, why wouldnt it?
if you want choc ice and chips, have it
if you want cheese and custard, have it!

I quite like the sound of them butties Poll, my brother is weird, bless him.
Really?
I’ve put on 12 lbs since I started reading this thread.
Good for you mr prideaux, hope you enjoyed it
I don’t envy whoever is responsible for the invasion picnic / sustenance … need a blooming big hamper !! Both for the amount and to please all our palettes… volunteers welcomed to apply …
Think we will need a van or two Flutterby, very large vans. (I’ll drive the 1 with the Marmite butties & I’ll bring Sue’s salty caramel ice cream & Spacejacket’s frangipan flan & raspberries, save them worrying about them) & if anyone’s throwing in a pork pie, I volunteer to bring that as well, just to make sure their safe.
Hahaha the fun we will have! Maybe ice cream vans - for the cold I mean, the theme tune to announce our arrival is just a bonus!
Last night I discovered a new facet of Brain Fog. I was reading something to hubby and the connection between my brain and my mouth seemed to break. I could recognise the words but I couldn’t say them. I eventually managed to read out the passage by speaking very slowly to allow time for the signals to reach my jaw and mouth muscles.
I’ve had problems reading aloud before, but usually it’s just a matter of stumbling over the words. What happened last night was worse. I’m not too worried - I don’t read aloud very often. It just caught me by surprise.
If anyone’s bringing bananas, could they park the van downwind of our base of operations please? The smell of bananas makes me feel nauseous.
