Still waiting on a Dx, Neuro says probable MS and so does Gp, but it’s a waiting game. Anyhow, had terrible bladder problems, overactive bladder and urgency problems, switched on to decaff and it’s been alot better over last 4 months. But since the weather turned colder it’s starting to get a problem again. Even had to get the tens lady out as I seem to leak abit. Don’t want my Gp to think I am a hypocondriact so have stayed away for a while, only on Amitriptyline at moment, but this has caused increased weight gain- always hungrey and a dry mouth. Due to see Neuro again mid Nov. Do you think I should go to Gp or wait til I see Nuero?
I had similar problems to you and went and saw my GP last week.
After a course of antibiotics I feel like a new woman and no more urgent dashes.
My GP has also arranged for me to go for Bladder scans just to rule out any issues as like you I am awaiting diagnosis and everythign has been going haywire.
So…my advice is get to your GP’s soon a you can
Gillian
If its not a uti which can be treated like Gillian with antibiotics - you may be able to self refer to a continence nurse. Phone your local hospital and ask to be put through to the continence dept or nurse to find out. Initially scary but usually a great service with workable solutions. You shouldn’t have to suffer. Good luck Min xx
The continence nurses are really kind and helpful. I am under the gynae dept for my bladder problems but the continence nurses are a separate dept and have been far more help! Hth Teresa xx
