Hi all, to those of you who are members of the benefits and work site this was published the other day,but i just thought i would put it on site for those who are not members.

When the govenment did the new legislation for the bedroom tax they forgot to close this.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN A TENANT OF YOUR HOME CONTINUSLY IN THE SAME HOUSE SINCE 1996 THEN YOU ARE NOT LIABLE TO PAY THE BEDROOM TAX AND CAN CLAIM IT BACK FROM YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITY,SEND IN A LETTER AND CLAIM BACK ALL YOU HAVE PAID TO THEM .good luck.

Well flippin eck! I am so glad you posted this. It dont affect me but there could be others who it does affect and they dont know about it.

It doesn’t affect me but I’m a member of the site. I will go on and have a read…thank goodness for excellent sites like benefits at work. This bloody government!!

I think this definitely counts as an Eton Mess and only this Government could find the right blend of incompetence and cruelty. Sadly, it is far too late for this poor woman and I suspect a few others.

Sorry i forgot to say AND CLAIMING COUNCIL TAX CONTINUALY SINCE THEN THE TAX DOSNT APPLY TO YOU .XX
