I have just spoken to a very nice lady at my local council reference the bedroom tax, as I live in a small 2 bed semi bungalow that has many adaptations, my second bedroom is more of a storage room for the usual junk that we disabled people end up with ( you know the stuff ), I was told to ask for a Discretionary Housing payment form, so Ive ticked the box and I feel confident things will be ok, the lady I spoke to told me to put down it was a disabled property with adaptations, besides all this Ive just spent a fortune decorating the place.
Oh that is good news. If only all landlords were as open minded and not a jobs worth, eh? We simply dont have the energy to be house moving…or even worrying about it.
