Has anyone ever borrowed a beach wheelchair? Me, Lee and Frazer are going away for a couple of nights in Scarborough and they have a mobility shop that hire beach wheelchairs. so iv’e booked one, apparently you can even go in the sea with them…I think i need a new bikini! lol
Hi Michelle, didnt know they did such a thing, how great, have fun on the beach in Scarboro,my sons going for the weekend,i just love Scarboro i have such lovely childhood memories of it, i used to go nearly every weekend in the summer with my aunt and uncle, another aunt had a pub there ‘The Plough’ … such lovely memories… we used to go to the open air swimming pool and go to scalby mills on the little train…think they still have the train it goes along the seafront from peasholme park…i really need to go back, very soon lol…
I’m really looking forward to it now mrs J, just reading all of your childhood memories…I can’t wait, we always went to the seaside when i was a child we all loved it my sisters and i would make sand castles and play in the sea and look for crabs in the rock pools…those were the days…i feel ancient …I’m 50 in October!
Maybe not somehow i think the only thing i’ll attract is the seagulls…I’ll put everyone else off their fish and chips! except for Frazer of course he loves his Mum whatever she looks like.
I think if I went on a beach in a bikini someone would have to call 999… there would be a stampede of people running for safety!
How about getting yourself a nice sarong and wear bikini top with it or tank top? That’s a lovely beach look.
The wonderful thing about pets are their non-judgemental l love for us. Although when I sing to Dickie his expression tells me he’s not completely non-judgemental… lol…
Beach wheelchair is a fab idea, Scarborough is lovely although I have to say Whitby is my favourite seaside town. Don’t think I’ll be doing the 199 steps anytime soon.
Something in the back of my mind is telling me Bikinis are not allowed on Whitby beach something to do with a local bylaw but you should be fine at Scarborough
I hope the weather is kind to you. I think a little paddle would suit me more. The feeling of sand in between your toes will be just wonderful. I went onto Charmouth beach on my tramper but it was all stony. Have fun and plenty of fish and chips. Scarborough is one of those places you never forget-a few notches above New Brighton! x
My Mum and I took our Grandaughter to the seaside today, it was quite warm which is unusual for a northeastern beach.Fish and chips followed by an ice cream there’s nothing better.
Wells-next-to-sea for us ! First time for Blake on the beach. He loved it. Buried my two eldest boys up to the neck, compulsory beach requirements. Then walked into town, before getting the train back to car. Excellent day (Friday). Then my wife nailed the Run Norwich 10k yesterday. … up curve
Hi What a brill idea l miss going on the beach used to walk the dog a lot will look out for that more places need to do that take care all regards Jan xx
