Some people may remember me but I have not been on here for a while. My condition just seems to be deteriorating and to try and alleviate my increased spasticity / muscle tremor / cramp in my legs they have suggested I try a Baclofen pump. Could I hear from anyone who has tried one of these and their opinion on BOTH the advantages/disadvantages of the system.
Hi Andy, So sorry nobody has been able to help you. We’ve had a few discussion here on the PPMS section of the forum and nobody has ever spoken about having a baclofen pump. Maybe there could be people that could offer advise on the Everyday Living section…that has many more users. Hope you get some answers, Nina
Hya, I agree with Nina… post on the EL board… much bigger group use it and hopefully you’ll get some advice. Good luck and come back and see us soon, Pat xx
Hi, just spoke to a friend of mine yesterday.
She has the same condition as I am suspected of having;;;;
hereditary spastic paraparesis. I was wrongy diagnosed with PPMS for several years.
She had a baclofen pump fitted last year.
She is now used to it and is sure it is helping.
I told her there was someone here asking about it.
She very kindly offered you her telephone number.
You are welcome to ring her and she would be pleased to help you if she can.
I will pm you her number now.
Good luck.
luv Pollx
