Well, good old BUPA have now agreed to let me be under the care of the new neurologist I have been referred to! I was going to have to self pay as he isn’t normally under my level of cover but as my original neuro has failed in his duty of care and not followed up on important results etc he has actaully cost BUPA a lot of money as he has sent me all round the houses to different professionals who are not neuros but have all said there are things that need further investigation by a neurologist.
they are covering first consultation, any follow up tests and follow up consultation. If I get dx with anything treatment would have to be NHS but thats fine, at least get all the tests and stuff done quicker, otherwise it would be a 3 month+ wait to even see the guy on NHS.
