anyone with bowel issues

Morning, so I have spms, nearly 26yrs in now, I already have botox injected into bladder, ahve done for a few years now and do very well with it. for my bowel I take movicol nightly sometimes 1 sometimes 2, I also do an anal irrigation as my poo doesn’t clear my back passage properly, I’ve done this for a few years too, but for around the last 3/4mths my bowel habits have changed, I get woken in the night to go for a poo, sometimes I’m pooing more than once a day, then it all stops, I can’t go, this can last for 1, 2 days, I’ve had accidents, not getting there in time, now I’ve no blood in my poo and I’m not losing weight, my question is, how do you know when MS is effecting your bowel.

OOpps should be 16yrs, xx

I have bowel problems, but they are alleviated to an extent by using Peristeen bowel irrigation. It can give you more of a reliable routine. Hope this helps.

thank you for that, how did your bowel issue’s start ?

I started using micralax mini-enemas, then fleet phosphate enemas, but they became ineffective over time, so I was put onto Peristeen.

Thank you, I’ll just have to see how I go.
