Lately Ive noticed Im not bouncing back to any level due to early morning appointments (twice last week), Im totally pooped. Its now taking me weeks to recover to my level (not normal by any means), all because Ive had broken sleep and not enough time to wake up adequately before having to be out of the house. Again this week Ive early morning appointments - perhaps I should make sure theyre sometime in the late afternoon in future?
I know we each need sleep for our body to renew itself, but anyone as pooped as me all the time? Mrs Grumpy is a very apt name for me at the mo. I could sleep forever. I do know fatigue can hit at any time, but it seems to be a permanent feature lately.
I wake up early but am in bed by 8 9 at the latest, apart from loo trip I don’t wake until my radio wakes me at 7.
On Friday we were collecting at Sainsbury’s. I was so exhaused I was in bed by 6.30 and asleep by 7. Nearly the same the following day. Sitting with a smiley face with a collection box balanced on my buggy was very tiring. We collected lots of money though; good old people of Sittingbourne are very generous I must say.
Well done for collecting monies in Sittingbourne presumably for the ms society/branch. I was similar when I too collected in White Rose, Leeds the Sunday before last. Its so tiring isnt it. I thought sitting on my scooter I would save energy but its not necessarily the case is it.
Boy do I feel my age lately, and with ms fatigue joining in, at least I know Im not alone. Ever felt like a baby needing grub then a sleep, grub then more sleep! Only need someone to burp me and Ill be happy as larry!
I’m male but I am exactly the same - I have the ‘advantage’ of a catheter (a bag which stands on the floor ‘connected to my willy!’) so I don’t have to get up to go for a pee! And although my wife has her alarm set for 6.00 a.m. - she does get up and make the tea and toast - so I can’t complain. She then makes lunch and leaves me (in bed!). I no longer work so I can rest for as long as I want but I still wish that I didn’t have MS!
Same here, however Ive never felt as tired as lately. Think we just have to accept its the new us, living slightly different. Remember when as a child we couldnt wait for movement in the house to get up and explore the day. Give me a fluffy duvet and soft pillows anyday (:o)
I could do with a partner to take care of my needs, I wouldnt be grumpy then, your a very lucky chappie, but I know you already know that.
I feel tired all the time, is this normal? ive only had a definite diagnosis of rrms a couple of months ago so its pretty new to me but i just cant do what i used to. the tiredness is prob the worst symptom, along with chronic arm and leg pain. ive tried taking amantadine for the tiredness to little avail. Im 26 and from Yorkshire. (near to you prob Bren as live only about 5 miles from the white rose centre Are there any support groups in our area? im finding it hard coming to terms with everything and could do with meeting people who understand.) I am used to having loads of energy being pretty young and so its really affecting me workwise (im a full time secondary school teacher) and socially too. i sometimes feel i could sleep forever!
Me too, I’m always knackered. I recently went to stay with a friend and both nights without interruption I slept 11pm-9.30am, guess that’s what my body needs. However I’m up with my kids at 6.30 every morning and don’t always manage an early night so guess have a big deficit as well, will try to catch up when they are bigger!

Early this yr I could sleep for hrs, still feel fatigued and worn out doing simple tasks. Currently tho I am not drifting off so good this is because of the pain and stiffness in my arms and legs. Even my fingers ache and twitch.
I seem to be slighly different to all you peeps, I do always feel tired but usually wake up at 3am often for the toilet then cant get back to sleep so 3 hours sleep a night cant be good
