Anyone in mid-Devon/ Exeter area?

Hiya . I was wondering if there are any groups/ meet-ups happening, locally? I live near (ish) to Okehampton :sheep: :cow: :horse: and work in Exeter. If not, anyone want to start one/ meet up?

MS story in a nutshell: just moved (it would seem) from RRMS to SPMS (after 11 years). Now where I go, so does my stick- it’s that, or end up horizontal! It’s not ideal, but I appreciate it could be so much worse. Glass half full thing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Me story: enjoy (or did before the wonky leg set in) moorland/ beach walks with the dogs, paddle boarding, body boarding, bike rides. Still believing I can do these things- brain just isn’t telling the leg  . Almost finished nursing degree and due to qualify in 3 months (in my late 40’s) so life is busy but it would be good to meet folk who are having similar mobility experiences….

End of spiel!

This page will tell you what’s going on in your local area.

Local Support for People With MS | Multiple Sclerosis Society UK (mssociety.org.uk)

Thank you :-). I had already looked on there and was wondering if there’s anyone on here, since there doesn’t seem to be much. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, though

You could try shift ms, as they have facility to find other members.

I hope you manage to find some local support.

Hiya @Devon
Welcome. I would have loved to visit the west country, when I was more mobile.
Just stepping out the front door and I start to feel the severe fatigue kicking in, these days; I suppose that’s how it is with SPMS, just keep drifting further and further away from initial disability baseline.
Really wish I could continue working and do all the things I used to do, alas the spirit is willing but flesh is much too weak, so they say.
Hope you find fellow MSers to connect with, in your local area.
Best regards,
JP
