Any thoughts and advice

Hi for a few days now I haven’t been able to do my bra up, without fastening it in the front and swivelling it round, also experiencing difficulty and pain in the arm putting coat on, it appears i can’t get my right arm behind my back, and this evening i don’t appear to be able to raise my arm any more than straight out to the side, my left arm appears normal to me. This afternoon someone knocked into me on that side, but with no force but i experienced instantanious excrutiating pain which only lasted seconds, but now this has happened, what ever is going on, does seem to be now affecting the upper limbs as well as the lower limbs, i’m used to the lower limbs, but this is a new and a bit scary. Am back to hospital on Fri to get results of MRI,

should I wait till fri or should i go see my gp tomorrow with this, or is she gonna think this is my imagination.

Any thoughts

Hi,

Me personally I think I would wait until I got the results of the MRI but on the other hand something must be suspected for you to have had a MRI. On Friday you would have a clearer picture of what is or isn’t going on. If you feel you want to see your gp before then he probably wouldn’t be able to say much to you except wait for the results. It depends on you and how bad you feel. I wish you luck.

i havent been able to do my bra up for 4 years now.

hardly ever wear one because of the hug - fortunately i’m not very well endowed!

i agree with janet - wait until friday because your gp won’t be able to do anything about a neurological complaint.

oh and by the way i’m a comical sight trying to put my coat on! its ok when i’m with friends or family but so embarassing when i’m with strangers.

GP thinks it is muscular Ibuprofen and may be physio if it doesn’t improve, but will mention it on Friday when I get the results of MRI, then she also thought I had soft tissue damage when infact had fractured my ankle lol. Not the usual GP I see.

It sounds rather like a frozen shoulder or similar. If it is, time, anti-inflammatories and lots of physio should put it right.

It’s a right pain until then though :frowning: (I’ve had it twice!)
