Another trip down Memory Lane...

Anybody remember The Galloping.Gourmet? Aways a good Christmas ot birthday.pressie for my mother! I wonder if she stil has those books? Spiral bound (I think), my dad bought them, but we had to go and get them, still was actually something she wanted, not sure she.ever made anything though - too much butter (too expensive here!?)

I ought to remember him but alas nope.

there is another TV chef from the same era who always had a glass of wine in his hand and he gets mentioned by James Martin, alas the name is lost in the mush that is my brain.

My husband liked him but no use me asking him because I think he’s caught my brain mush.

Sorry Maude xx

It was Keith Floyd that I was thinking of.

There’s life in my mushy brain after all.

It must have been the early 70’s but I remember seeing him. He used to run into the audience at the end and take a lady to the front to join in him eating whatever it was he just made.

The very early days of celebrity chefs on TV

catwomanCarole58 I think you may be thinking of Keith Floyd

HaHa, we posted at the same time there

Cheetah

so we did!

as a ten yr old, me and my mates used to giggle at her rude name!

Graham Kerr was the Galloping Gourmet… my mum used to have a complete set of all his recipes.
