Not diagnosed.
I have had a brain and spine MRI with contrast, which has found one small lesion and one tiny lesion on my brain, and nothing on my spine. I had a brain MRI a month prior to this and the GP told me it could be MS but needed the MRI with contrast.
My GP sent me for this MRI because of having feelings of vertigo and some pins and needles at night. This time last year I was having a headache over my left eye.
I haven’t been referred to a neurologist and I am now waiting to speak to the GP about my results. (I have read my results on the NHS app)
Where is this likely to go now? Is there anything I should be asking at my GP appointment?
Hi racemyth, I think the big thing to ask is if and when you will be referred to a neurologist.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes I agree too.
I did ask at my last appointment when I had the results from my first MRI, but I got told to wait for the outcome of the contrast MRI.
I just wish there wasn’t such a long wait in-between appointments. I am sure everybody feels this to some degree.
Yes , indeed. I can remember the frustration of being in ‘limbo’.
maybe you had an ON in your left eye.
you could ask an optician to measure your RNFL, and see if left eye is c.6 or more lower than right.
of course ON does not necessarily mean MS is present, but is more likely.
