A Strange Relief

After a journey of a few years I was today diagnosed with MS.

My neurologist thinks it’s PP which was a bit of a shock but he’s going to get more MRI scans done in six months to confirm the sub-diagnosis. He is pretty well convicted given my symptomatic history and increasing numbness and spasticity.

Anyway, it’s a strange relief to at long last have an actual diagnosis.
Knowing that I’m now protected under the disability act is a huge weight off my mind.

Yes, it is a relief getting a diagnosis. It took four years from MRI scan to somebody actually saying “multiple sclerosis” to me. I was glad to be able to put a name to what was wrong with me.

I’m sorry to hear that you probably have PPMS. It almost makes me feel lucky to “only” have RRMS.

Thanks CD, I wouldn’t say you were lucky though. :sunglasses:
