1 week to appointment

So on Wednesday next week I get to the results of my recent Brain and Cervical spine MRI. I’m worried!

around 5 1/2 years ago I started getting a vibration in my neck when bending forward, it was constant for a month and then went away. Originally I thought it was whiplash related.

a few months later it came back along with a completely numb arm - I remember the terror of armpit shaving whilst completely numb! Do NOT recommend.

I’ve had this come back now and again but alongside other symptoms such as half my face dropping - imagine bells palsy.

2 years ago I was diagnosed with cluster headache / migraine and a 2 year medicine review is what has finally pushed for a referral to neurology, my GP is utterly rubbish.

I’ve also been ridiculously tired for years, I nap at weekends and sleep at 7.30 on weeknights as work drains me.

Lately I’ve been having lots of weakness in my legs especially in the morning but I can’t trust myself anymore - it could be my mind playing on this or just being tired and I’m over exaggerating the weakness to myself!

Either way in less than I week I will know.

I thought I’d share as during this whole process this forum has been useful!

keep us posted, i hope you get some good news next week, take care

forgot to mention the cognitive issues such as forgetting DOH! also the balance and walking in to things and dropping everything. I’m another day closer to hopefully an answer but the waiting is awful! I wonder if the unknown is worse than the disease in some respects

I’ve seen a letter from the Neurologist who has referred me to another neurologist who specialises in MS, The letter says ‘MRI of brain and cervical spine reported possible Demyelinating changes.’

There is also another letter with the same date asking if I could be referred for an MRI with contrast.

I expected something but I’m still devastated. Also it seems that it’s now given an excuse for my symptoms to be more pronounced.
