Work and MS

Hi everyone, I have a job in an office and my GP wrote me a letter saying she advised I work from home due to Ms and COVID

However my manager has dismissed this and said the office is COVID safe so we won’t be doing this.

it also says on the letter I have asthma

can any one tell me, is he right or wrong?

Government advice is to work form home IF YOU CAN though this is of course the grey area

Bigger organisations -eg schools, health orgs, council offices, all have and will need to, complete formal HR process agreed Risk Assessments. So your boss’ own interpretation for your company or business may be right, but it does fly in the face a bit of wider guidance from respective Governments.

Where i work shielders or those feeling that their long term condition would inhibit safe return had to be risk assessed to establish impact of return on their health/ risk rating

Theoretically if its covid safe it should be fine, but depends on what this means. I work from a L.A and have written plans for returns to buildings and work/recovery plans but for all that we are still limiting to essential staff only

I have recently been diagnosed with ms I have a C6 lesion which effects my arms, I am a construction worker fitting kitchens however that is no longer possible due to my MS. I have an opportunity to become a site manager, by the company or work in the office call centre at a desk but am unsure of what to do? Advice please my MS diagnosis is RRMS with 3 further lesions on my brain, ivlel been a site manager before so I am edging towards that, but trust in other MS members advice please help?

which would you want to to if you didn’t have m.s.?

That’s the one to go for !
