Hi - I developed double vision on 2nd June (same time as developing covid for first time) and an mri showed lesions consistent with ms.
The double vision resolved within 2 weeks but when I look over to extreme left or right (without moving my head) I still have it.
It’s not a problem as you really have to look for it but I was wondering if this is likely to completely resolve or remain?
I’m waiting to see a neurologist to me assessed for medication.
Was it your first relapse? If so then you can be very optimistic about it resolving. Either way it’s still early days, after I had ON I was still noticing that it was gradually improving six months plus. Fingers crossed
Any luck yet cms? I’ve been struggling with this for 3 weeks and finding it very upsetting and debilitating. Had “bell’s palsy” at the same time which they now say wasn’t bell’s- just my nerves gone haywire.
I can’t even walk down the garden path without falling off it and can’t see across the room.
I’ve had diplopia twice, once resulting in my diagnosis and once two or three years after (I am 21 years post diagnosis now and haven’t had it again). Both times I could see ‘properly’ again after about 6 weeks. What I would say though is when I’m very tired or the weather is very humid (like now) I get some minor disturbances to my vision. These seem to resolve after a good sleep or a drop in temperature.
