Hi all,
I’ve been trying to diagnose myself since I suddenly presented in January with a blocked ear and dizziness. I also suffer with terrible pain in my neck, back, ribs and shoulders. I’ve had tingly/really itchy hands a while ago like 2 years ago that happens every now and again. I’m soooo dizzy all the time. Some times it’s not as debilitating I’m also deaf in one ear at the same time the dizziness came on. I think it comes from the neck and back pain it never goes away either! The doctors fobbed me off with the anti vertigo medication and told me to do some exercises to get the crystals to go back in my ear! That hasn’t worked. I’m also experiencing the horrible shooting pain in my eye on the same side as the deafness. And FACE ACHE! So bad that I want to chop my head off! I’m in a right mess! What do you think? Sound like MS?

It might be your neck putting pressure on nerves and throwing off your balance. You could try seeing a physio or chiro to work on your neck, and ask your doctor for an MRI or to send you to an ENT specialist.
Well, you need to do some more hammering on your doctor’s door, obviously. Don’t give up.
In your shoes, I would also go urgently to the optician explain the eye pain I’ve been having and get them to have a thorough look. They have a lot of expertise, those people, and they also have their own fast track into the NHS system if they see something they don’t like the look of.
It’s also worth a visit to the dentist to describe that face pain. If the dentist thinks it’s nothing to do with your teeth and some kind of neuralgia he or she will tell you so and that will be useful information for the GP as well.

I’ve had similar symptoms to those since diagnosis, mine has also affected my blink reflex and corneal reflex. I’ve lost feeling in 75% of my head/face and mouth burns all the time. Allison is right see your dentist first to rule out issues with your teeth before seeing your GP if it is Trigeminal neuralgia they’ll probably put you on carbamazepine it works well as long as you’re not like me as I’m allergic to it. Hope you soon start feeling some relief.

In short , no to me it doesn’t sound like MS but like everyone on this Forum I’m just a person with MS. I would very definitely go back to the GP with a full list of your problems
