as I said use the 5/2diet my hubby lost 4 stones in 2months.
I m lucky as I can walk and excercise in a way. I adapt exercises and do them lying in bed if I can’t get up. In desperation I have just put an app on my phone and computer called Lose It. It tells you what you have eaten, calories but more importantly shows you your plate and if you have missed protein etc. you can see what happens each week or month. I am on day three and have a banana for tea but I am not going to give in. Once a month there is a health meeting which is brill but the sun is shining so I am going to go outside to use 3 or 4 calories up doing something.
Lose it is free or I wouldn’t have tried it. I tried another one first and it cocked up my phone so I had to delete it.
Probably not helpful to you, but I don’t bother following diets, as such…there’s so much information out there, some of it contradicting other bits of it - I just eat what I fancy, as long as my clothes are fitting comfortably! Over Christmas I ate far too much chocolate and cake… but who didn’t? We’ve still got a Christmas Pudding in the cupboard to use up, and I’m not bothered about it. Everyday food is heavy on the veg, with a bit of fair-trade/free-range meat, fish or poultry… the occasional pizza or pasta - or cheese on toast - but I’m a bugger for sauces (tartare, mayo etc), and anything vinegary gets a big thumbs up from me. Just remember, everything in moderation, including moderation - stop worrying about it! In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter…
I have been on a brutal diet for 18 months and have lost two and a half stone. But the key word is brutal. I was encouraged by some early results so I’ve kept it going.
Best wishes.
Hi again, since my previous reply, Ive had a visit from my daughter and son in law. They
ve told me about a 10 day detox programme theyve been doing. Daughter, who has had digestive problems for a long time, says she
s never felt so well! They will be following their detox with a vegetarian diet.
The detox consist of juiced fruit and veg.
I`m going to to give it a try. It could be a great weight loss which encourages a healthier eating regime.

Good for you, let us know how it goes.
My mate at work says to eat less and move more - that’s the problem for some disabled folk - the moving part…i eat way too much chocolate but do go to the gym to try and convince myself that its ok to eat a Timeout…as has been said we need to watch what we eat and that is tough - pass the tin of Roses…
