hi I’m nearly out of my currant vit d tabs and am about to re order new supply but have heard that the spray is better, could anyone advise where s best to order from I’m on 5000 ius.
also how long does a 15ml bottle last I can only see 3,000 ius on Amazon so I guess 2 sprays each day will be needed it was about £17 for 3 bottles.
Can anyone help with advice?
many thanks

Hi, I have the 3,000iu spray you mention, from Holland & Barrett in a buy one buy one half price sale. The pack contains 100 sprays.
The price you mention seems good value.

Thanks Lenny is it safe to take b12 spray too my levels are not low but wondered if it’s something that could help with my energy levels too.
thanks
Hi,
I’m following this thread with interest because I’ve only recently started taking Vitamin D. Which is the better acting formulation - the tablet, or the spray?

Hi Minxie
ive heard that only 10% is absorbed in tablet form and the spray is absorbed a lot higher I think it’s about 80% but I could be wrong, I think it was on here I read about it but can’t remember who was discussing it.
Ive ordered today together with a vit B12 spray which is meant to help with energy levels, I don’t think I’m deficient but I keep reading about b vits being good for Ms so thought I’d try it.

Hi yes I think B12 helps with reduction of fatigue and tiredness.
A study was done on VitD3 and it was found that the tablets and the gel capsules lost their effectiveness in the stomach - the same as B12 - both very neccessary for us with MS. The spray - and drops under the tongue are much better absorbed.
l have my D3 levels checked every 6 months because l take a very high dose. CityAssaysLab B/ham. Postal service - just a pin-prick test and they will email the results to you 0121 507 4278 - lt costs £28.
With B vits - there is no way you can overdose as what you do not absorb is pee-d out.
Thanks

Thats very useful information I just received my vits yesterday tried vit D spray with breakfast but instructions state spray in mouth or inside gum I never thought of under the tongue I think I’ll try that method next time and after breakfast rather than before as it made my breakfast taste too minty however I lover the taste reminds me of after eights at Christmas!
I haven’t tried the B12 yet as thought I should maybe leave a gap(don’t know why really as I guess it gets absorbed all the same. I’m hoping it helps my energy levels as I tire very easily and that’s my main symptom at the moment apart from occasional nerve pain in one hand.
I’ve made a note of the vit D testing details as I’ve been thinking about it recently, as my practice are not keen to test. It took me two years to finally get them to agree to test mine result was ok 95 I think.
