Treatment and the covid booster

Hi everyone, hope you’re all as well as you can be. I’ve just had a nhs text message about the covid booster. It says if entitled I should have it by the 30th of June, I have my 2nd ocrevus infusion on that date. I’m not sure I can have the booster so soon before treatment. Anyone know if I’m right or not, Angle

Hi, I’m also on Ocruvus and had my last infusion on the 17th May.
My MS team made it very clear from the start that there is a two week window every six months that I could have a vaccination- inc Covid boosters.
The window is four months from the last infusion and only for 2 weeks. So my next window is September 17th- 1st October, with my next infusion booked for Nov 22nd. I’ve been advised to have a Covid booster along with the flu jab in the September window.
I missed the window this spring for a Covid booster.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your reply, so if I’ve read correctly that means I’m too late for the covid booster. I’ve tried to get in touch with my ms nurse but can’t seem to get hold of her. Take care, Angie

Hi Angie
You are very welcome- yes the way I read your email meant you couldn’t have the Covid vaccine yet. Good luck with the second infusion- my second one was a couple of weeks ago. Take care, Nicky

IMO, we’ve never needed the covid shot, let alone the boosters. Studies are coming out they are pretty useless anyway… If you’re well, why risk it. Hope you’re well.

If I’m totally honest Carraboy I wouldn’t have had the vaccines if I didn’t work in a nursing home. If I didn’t have them I would have lost my job, a job I love. I am very well at the moment and hope you are to. Angie❤️

I’ve heard that reason so many times. It’s sad that people were coerced for profits. I know of a couple of NHS staff that stood their ground and called their bluff. They kept their jobs, but to this day, the sniping and harassment still continues. It’s criminal care home staff were blackmailed like this.
