Hi,
Me & my husband are thinking of moving to Andalucia. I have RR MS . I can’t get medical insurance due to it. I’m on fingolamod & I’m wondering how to go about getting meds & a idea of costs. I’m trying to do my homework on it just now.

MS hands made my hands finished my post. Any advice would be appreciated. Xx
Hi
I wouldn’t have a clue about that, sorry. But I just did a quick Google search & found this on the government’s website, which may answer some questions. And it might be worth speaking to your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

(PS Are you sure you’ll be OK with the heat there?)
Join Trip advisor and go to the Forum section. Check out any particular area you’re considering on that. Very helpful threads on there and lots of info. Just ask a few questions!

Exactly, I wouldn’t make any decision until after the referendum.
In Spain each province has autonomous healthcare funding. We registered at the town hall, then at the local medical center. We received health cards about a month later. This gave us a social security number and access to the healthcare system.
My GP speaks only Castellano and Galego. I live in a small village and the other women of my age told me to come for coffee each day and I have learned everything from them.
google translate helps with important phrases. My neuro speaks English and so does every university educated person that I have met.
I have a work contract as a professional musician now. I receive expenses and free lodging. I hope to get a job with the orchestra one day. That would be amazing.
i have Rebif and Fampyra, free from the hospital pharmacy. I am on a lot of medicines and pay a small amount for each. If I run out, I can just buy a packet of drugs from the local pharmacy.
There are very few foreigners in this part of Spain. I like being foreign. I prefer to integrate. It’s been good for my brain to live and learn.
it all depends on what kind of expat you become. If you prefer to stick with other Ingleses, you’ll find plenty. You can get private health insurance, but it could be expensive.
i hope you have a great life in such a beautiful place.
