I am hoping to restart Tecfidera after 10 months off it due to investigation relating to low blood platelets. I have been dx now with thombrocytopenia which the haemotologist has told me is not related to the Tecfidera and I have been given the go ahead to restart. I have also been prescribed betahistine to help me with inner ear pressure and just wondering if anyone on this forum takes both these two drugs and if so what are your experiences of it.
I’m not on DMD’s yet, although have been given a leaflet with about 7 choices, 5 injectables and 2 tablets.
But to answer your question re Betahistine, it is very good. I only take as required now but they really do help with my vertigo / dizziness symptoms. Supermarkets, busy places in general tend to give rise to sensory overload type symptoms and Betahistine works well to keep it all in check, calms things down.
Hi Cat66 im on tecfidera and betahistine as i have minerres disease i take both together with no side effects i also take amantadine, gabapentin and antidepressants all at the same time
