System failure

I am beyond frustrated right now with the whole NHS I will add the caveat that I know they are stretched to capacity but I feel so alone right now.

I had a second MRI 8 weeks ago they asked me to phone drs for results. I call and the receptionist I spoke to said they had them but they needed to be reviewed by the dr- call back in two day. So I phone today and she can’t see any results, told me
to call the MRI department. I call them she said the wait for an MRI is 3 months  I explain I am after results (which she said were back) but told me I’m scheduled for an annual MRI next year? She suggests I call Neurology who incidentally never pick up their phone. I left a desperate pleading message asking for help lol :woman_facepalming:t2:

I’m just so frustrated I’m panicking now that either the scan wasn’t clear enough/something went wrong or that they have found a diagnosis hence why I need annual MRI’s. I think the point I am trying to make amongst this waffle is that everyone else seems to know what’s going on apart from me. It’s my body I deserve some answers. I’ve waited nearly two years. I’ve been patient and done everything they have asked without hounding or complaint. It causes unnecessary stress and overthinking. I have an appointment on the 11th I just want to know what information they have so that I can ask the necessary questions… because let’s face it you need a Mensa membership to understand the jargon! :joy:

Keep on at them. Sometimes thats the only way to get any answers.

Thanks I think you’re right! I hate being that person but I think it’s time I was more proactive :woman_facepalming:t2::blush:

I am about to be “that person” again. Been on DMT 6 months now. Was told I would have MRI about now. Not heard anything yet.

It’s just so frustrating I get that many people are waiting but its an important part of your treatment plan!

Gave my ms team a call this pm. Answer phone has normal but now a message saying due to staff stortages replies are taking longer than 4 days !!

That’s crazy! :woman_facepalming:t2:

I keep all correspondence and also keep a diary of telephone calls made and received… time… subject… name of doc/nurse etc.

I have two conditions (unrelated) and find this helps with both… and I don’t get them confused.
