Hi. I too have found balance on boats/ferries better than on terra firma. Everyone walks wobbily on boats. I don’t stand out so much!
Sounds like we may have found something here with a few of you finding better balance on boats. I think the constant movement from an external source may have an effect on the nervous system. I know that if Carolyn was to try & do the same movements on firm ground she would probably fall or become fatigued rather quickly. On another note I see a new drug has been developed that removes plaques in the brain in Alzeimers. Were getting closer to a cure all the time.
Poll I have tried about six times to answer your post…as to how many medics you can fit on a yacht…now on our little boat we can fit / could fit a good many kiddies…at times had 5 top to toe in the v berth snug as a bug.
Then the overflow got air beds in the cockpit under a boom tent whilst hubby and I had luxury quarter berths…that was many yrs ago when I was considerably less rotund than now.
I think your mini cruises sound like a great idea, which company did you use ? I heard some wont let you sail if you cannot walk onboard.
It is so long since I was afloat that I cannot give any opinion on the sealegs issue…research trip needed for that.
Now all I have to do is convince hubby who only wants to sail if he is the skipper !

Finally it worked
