Sudden symptoms

Hi all about a week ago I suddenly had tingling in the bottom of my left foot , within hour it had developed into my calf and my leg felt heavy and weird. The following morning I had weakness in my leg , I couldn’t move my toes or lift my leg. It had what I would say pins and needles , heavy dead leg. essentially I could only walk by dragging my leg. I went to a&E and they did a spinal MRI. They ruled out cord compression and said the would refer me to a neurosurgeon. About a week before this happened I had finished a severe episode of vertigo. It lasted for 2 weeks and I had to take time off work. This hasn’t been my first instance of vertigo but it’s been milder often just a dizzy spell.

I arranged a private consult with a neurosurgeon and tbh he felt bit dismissive of what I was experiencing mainly I think because he can’t see anything surgically wrong with me. He’s now ordered a brain MRI.

My leg is not as bad as it was however its not fully functioning to me it still feels week sometimes weaker than other times. I tried to walk my usual walk and it took me 30 mins longer than normal. I feel bit like no one believes me and obviously worrying it could be MS now.

Anyway thanks for reading

Hi @sib1234 sorry but I don’t have any great words of advice but I do remember the horrible period of anxiety and frustration when waiting for some sort of diagnosis.

Sorry again, but I think it’s just going to be a matter of waiting patiently for the results of the MRI
