JayZee gel support cushion sounds super Poll.
I had my OT Assessment - she comes from the borough Locality Team for Adult Social Care and she will contact a medical chair company for me - I don’t know what it will be like. I hope I also get the JayZee cushions. I’ll let you know.
A chap will call in 2 weeks to measure me up. He will bring some chairs for me to try and then the OT will call when the chair is ready to make sure all is okay.
An excellent and important service as pressure sores are nasty things, and difficult to get rid of. I’ve got them starting on my heels and swollen ankles as well as my frozen feet problem. I also have poor posture - so hopefully that will improve. I am getting twisted because of a weakness on my left side.
I think Advanced MSers need to be aware of these issues. You need to know where to get get help with a medical arm chair.
My Community Rehab Team referred me to this local borough service. I don’t know if it exist else where.
Oh and the OT said she is also going to give me an over table to go with the chair, so I can have meals or do my drawing or use my laptop whilst seated.
So I’m really pleased. Another health worry dealt with.
