I had slurred speech as one of my first symptoms and had no idea what was causing it at the time. I found it very distressing and it really knocked my confidence as I’m normally a chatterbox. I can cope better with my legs not working than speech problems. What I really hated was strangers assuming that I was less intelligent just because I couldn’t talk properly. You have my sympathy. Hope it passes soon
